Fall Event Profile: New York Restoration Project

As junior ambassadors for New York Restoration Project (NYRP), The Buds are New York City’s next generation of protectors of our precious parks and community gardens. The Buds bring together some of the city’s hippest and greenest individuals – aged 21 to 40 – who are looking for meaningful, yet engaging ways to immerse themselves in the environmental movement that’s not only sweeping New York City, but the entire nation and planet! These young, green activists are integral members of NYRP, participating in events and activities, and introducing friends, family and colleagues to all that our organization does.

These fab ladies are renting for the NYRP Fall Back to New York event this Wednesday, September 21. You can still purchase tickets here. We spoke with some of the Junior Board members and attendees below.

Where do you work? I work in finance so I can be found wearing a variation of the Manhattan black dress on most business days.

Where do you live? Manhattan

What is your favorite restaurant? I am obsessed with all things involving margaritas, Mexican food, and cheese. My fav restaurant is Mole.

What is your style: classic or trendy? My style is a genuine mix of both classic and trendy. I love to combine a strand of pearls with an edgier dress, or trendy shoes and accessories with a more conservative ensemble.

What are you renting for the event? I am wearing a divine one shoulder dress by Jay Godfrey, dazzling sparkly bracelets, and my trusty Christian Louboutins.

What dress are you dying to rent next? I am dying to rent a stunning party gown for a black tie event I have next month.

Your involvement in NYRP. I started with the NYRP Junior Board in 2007 and serve as the Co-Chair of the Events Committee.

Your fav NYRP moment. My favorite NYRP moment was going to Queens after the NY tornados earlier this year to help restore one of the parks in the community. We planted trees and flowers and by the end of the day we saw a huge difference in the park.

My closet is reasonably sized by Manhattan standards and insanely organized but I rely a lot on drawers and folding.

Favorite designer. I am always looking for new designers, but I am currently obsessed with Alice + Olivia.
