Haute Happy Hour

Where: San Francisco
What: Uva Enoteca
What to Wear: Yigal Azrouel
Normally happy hours are week-day affairs, and if you want to sip on cheap Italian varietals in the middle of the Haight, then you have that option. However, Uva Enoteca features a weekend happy hour from 3-6:30pm where sharing-plates of prosciutto get washed down with the grapey goodness. Pre-game for the night with a bottle of Chianti or hang out and nibble on their Bucatini with truffle cheese. Warning: food coma imminent.
  • Haute Happy Hour
The work whistle has blown, you’ve filed those final reports, and it’s officially time to shed the office layers for that age-old tradition: Happy Hour! Of course there are endless excuses to hit up happy hour (sans superiors’ tongue slashings), whether it’s to blow off steam, nibble on half-priced snackers, meet up with friends, or organically invite that cute boy out from work without it being awkward… Whatever your reason, you obviously still want to look très chic while sipping discounted drinks. So we’re here to help. Once again we've enlisted our friends at Party Earth to give us the deets on the hottest spots in each city.

    Chicago
Where: Chicago What: Beauty Bar What to Wear: Zac Posen Those living outside of Chicago may not realize that happy hour in the Windy City is not technically allowed. It doesn’t mean that bars in Chicago don’t get around the city’s blue laws by providing customers with food specials to go along with their margaritas and mojitos. One bar that takes law-bending to another level is Beauty Bar where $10 gets you a martini with a manicure. Now we can’t vouch for that new shade of chartreuse on your nails, but we can guarantee the drinks will make you not care either way!

Where: New York What: Terroir – East Village What to Wear: Matthew Williamson The self proclaimed “elitist wine bar for everyone” is half geek and half sleek as they present an endless supply of world-class wines inside their massive tongue-in-cheek menu. Get lost as Terroir compares its Riesling’s acidity to Lady Gaga, or pays homage to SNL with their “White Wine in a Box”, or offers up “cool kosher grape juice for gentiles”.
