Staying Safe in the Sun

Summertime is synonymous with the beach, which is synonymous with the sun, which has unfortunately become synonymous with skin cancer. With beach time finally here, what’s the safest way to protect yourself? We pulled together some tips for you to have a safe summer and keep your tan – with or without the sun.

First, you never want to head outside without sunscreen. For days when you’re not planning on spending a lot of time in the sun, applying Mario Badescu “The Moisture Magnet” with SPF 15 as day cream, then layering it with Bare Minerals powder, which has SPF 20 is always a winning combo.

If you’re spending a lot of time outside, make sure you up the SPF. There’s nothing worse than gloppy sunscreen, which is why we love Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen. It’s dry to the touch and comes in so many levels of SPF, ranging from 30 to 100+! The best part is that they make the same product as a cooling body mist that’s waterproof too. Talk about refreshing when you’re sizzling on the beach. Don’t forget to wear a hat and sunglasses when outside, too!
